Training Facilities
 Helping
municipal utility workers stay safe on the job and do their jobs
effectively is part of IAMU's core mission. Our training facilities help
enable IAMU to provide these services.
Training facilities include:
- A 10-acre field for hands-on training on electric, gas, water, and
telecommunications systems and equipment. The field includes an
overhead electric training field, an underground electric training
field (for electric linemen), a natural gas leak field, and a water
leak detection field. Check with our

Division for more information and training opportunities.
- A shop that can house indoor training as well as a meter testing
room and a water quality laboratory (water lab due for completion by
2006);
- An auditorium with seating for 76, featuring high quality
projection and sound systems, meal facilities, and area for breakout
groups;
- A boardroom/classroom with seating for meetings of up to 30.
