IAMU Announces All-new Website

The orange and blue color scheme ties in with the same new look for IAMU’s promotional materials and workshop brochures. “IAMU’s site has always contained lots of information. But we felt it was time to give the site a more modern look. We hope the new site makes it easier for members to find the information they are looking for,” said Tommi Makila, IAMU Program Manager.

One of the primary goals of the new design was to better showcase the many services IAMU offers to its members. The “Member Services” section includes information on all services provided by the different IAMU departments: Electric, Gas, Water, Stormwater, Telecommunications and Job Training & Safety.

A notable improvement on the site is the revised events calendar. The calendar now allows visitors to view upcoming IAMU events by utility type. In addition to retaining the online workshop registration feature, other IAMU meetings — such as committee meetings and board meetings — are now included on the calendar.

The new site design gives more prominent billing to some of the popular and important sections of the site, such as information on IAMU’s mutual aid program; and the section on municipal utility careers and currently open positions with member utilities is easier to find.

Some of the new sections of the site are still under construction. The associate member directory will be designed to be more interactive and user-friendly, and an IAMU classified ads section will be added to the site.
