Iowa Public Power Agency (IPPA)
IPPA is a separate entity from IAMU. It was formally established in February 2002 to provide a joint financing vehicle for (1) investments in Mid American Energy's CB4 or OPPD's Nebraska City 2 (though it was not needed for that purpose), (2) joint investment in other generating facilities, including the Iowa Stored Energy Plant, (3) joint investments to implement a settlement with TRANSLink (including approximately $130 million in new transmission assets), (4) and any other utility financing by subsets of IAMU members.

Iowa Municipal Transmission Group (IMTG)
A new entity formed as a subgroup of the IPPA to organize/aggregate transmission load in Iowa. IMTG also monitors and responds to MISO activity as it affects Iowa municipal utilities.

Midwest Municipal Transmission Group (MMTG)
MMTG is a separate entity from IAMU. It was formed to act on behalf of 119 municipal utilities in three states in the development of regional transmission organizations. MMTG advocates for the right of municipal utilities to make investments in transmission and receive the benefits of transmission ownership.
