Gas Transmission Pipeline Integrity Management Program (IMP)  (1/2008)

Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS), in Washington, D.C., via the Online Data Entry System (ODES) Required for all municipal utility-owned gas transmission pipelines, even those without HCA's (High Consequence Areas). Also required by August 31 of each year (see August).

Municipal Transfer Replacement Tax Return (1/2008)

City Chief Financial Officer This type of filing is required under Iowa tax law, but the filing is not required to be on this suggested form.  Link to rates.

Annual Report Municipal Gas Plant and Operations (MG-1) (1/2008)

Iowa Utilities Board

Required for all municipal gas utilities.  NOTE: The Iowa Utilities Board will accept an electronic version of the MG-1.  However, utilities must also submit the cardstock MG-1 cover that they received in the mail from the Iowa Utilities Board, because this cover contains the utility's official name and the official Records Center number.  Both of these figures are needed in order for the Iowa Utilities Board to process an MG-1 form.

2007 Estimated Replacement Taxes (9/2007) Iowa Department of Revenue

Required if one of four situations apply to a municipal utility.  If none of the situations apply, the utility does not need to complete the form.  See form for the applicable situations.

3/31 National Pipeline Mapping System, Online Pipeline Data Update Form (NPMS) (12/2006) National Pipeline Mapping System, as required by the Office of Pipeline Safety (OPS) Must verify accuracy of your utility's data at least once every 12 months.  Required for all municipally owned gas utilities.
  Railroad and Utility Emergency Contact Information (Last Update: 3/2008) Iowa Utilities Board This contact information is required only for those utilities whose facilities cross railroad rights-of-way.  The Iowa Utilities Board recommends evaluating this information at least on an annual basis, or when there is a relevant staff change.  More information.
