Stormwater Education & Training
Most of IAMU’s work with stormwater education and training is done
through its active participation in two collaborative partnerships:
- Iowa Stormwater Partnership
- In 2004 several organizations came to together to form the Iowa
Stormwater Partnership in an effort to help understand and comply with
federal stormwater regulations and to help ensure that statewide design
standards and specifications are available to support good storm water
runoff management practices.
- Iowa Stormwater Education
Program (ISWEP) - ISWEP exists in cooperation with the Iowa
Stormwater Partnership. ISWEP provides educational resources and
guidance to member communities about storm water management. This
information is then available for local stakeholders to make informed
decisions on urban water quality policy and programs. ISWEP also assists
cities and universities to provide required public education through
their NPDES permit.
